About the Unit:
The Ergonomics and Human Factors Unit (EHFU) is the applicative branch of the Institute for Information Processing and Decision Making (IIPDM). The unit that was established in 1993 by the late Prof. Joel Norman conducts researches in a wide range of applied cognitive fields, for industrial and defence organizations in Israel and worldwide.
The state of the art laboratories at the EHFU offer advanced research equipment. These include a Road Safety – Drivers’ Behavior, Stereoscopic Vision and Perception Lab, Visual Functions Lab, and a Man-Machine Interface Lab.
Graduate students in the cognitive psychology and Human Factors program work alongside senior, experienced researchers. The students take part in all stages of the research processes, assist the professionals, and gain practical experience in the Human Factors research.
